UBH International's highly skilled engineers and workforce can give old tank containers an extended useful life by stripping off the original support framework and insulation, leaving just the basic original stainless steel tank pressure envelope. Thorough external cleaning is carried out to remove any product residues at which point modifications can be made such as upgrading the steam heating system to give increased efficiency. All re-manufactured tanks are assessed by an independent classification society such as Lloyd's Register or Bureau Veritas and issued with new documentation and certification. The original tank support framework which may have been heavy and "over-engineered" is replaced by a lightweight frame more suited to today's marketplace, either beam design or full frame which would considerably lighten the tare weight of the remanufactured unit enabling increased payloads to be considered.
