'GRAND OPENING OF CHINA TANK FACTORY'
The official opening ceremony of the world's newest tank container factory took place in Nantong, China on the 26th April 2002.
The event was attended by representatives of many of the world's leading tank container lessors and operators, including a number who had already placed orders with CIMC, our business Alliance partners.
Following the ribbon cutting event delegates then visited the new factory and were given a tour of the facility and were able to inspect the tanks currently in production.
The purpose built factory, measuring 12,000 square metres, will eventually house two production lines, each capable of producing 1500 tank containers a year, although initially, a much lower output is intended.
